‘CÉIM AR CHÉIM/STEP BY STEP’ – Anthem for the Irish Women’s Team at the 2023 World Cup Finals in Australia & New Zealand

CÉIM AR CHÉIM/STEP BY STEP is a bilingual anthem, newly-composed by Ré Ó Laighléis to support our dynamic footballing heroes – Mná na hÉireann – as they embark on their quest for World Cup glory in Australia/New Zealand in summer 2023

It is a pulsatingly energetic and natively primal blend of word and music.

Imagine the sound of CÉIM AR CHÉIM/STEP BY STEP lifting the rafters in the Sydney Stadium as Irish voices at home, abroad, and most especially in Australia itself sing our country’s heroes out onto the field to face the women of the host nation on 20th of July.

CÉIM AR CHÉIM/STEP BY STEP is the cumulative result of the efforts of three of our most talented native artists – the writer and lyricist, Ré Ó Laighléis, singer Anna Mullarkey and music producer and musician Daithí Ó Drόnaí.

“It was great to help Ré realise his vision of this powerful, energetic track to cheer the team on ahead of their World Cup run,” says Daithí Ó Drόnaí.

“I found it inspiring to see the coming together of three distinctive talents in the making of this recording,” says Ré Ó Laighléis.
