Other Words Poetry Reading on 13 July
A Poetry Reading will be held in Foras na Gaeilge's office, 7 Merrion Square, Dublin 2, on 13th July at 12.45 pm. Three writers, Cvetka Bevc, from Slovenia, Réaltán Ní Leannáin and Áine Ní Ghlinn will read a selection from their works in Slovene and Irish. Áine Ní Ghlinn will read an Irish language version of Cvetka’s poems, which she has translated.
Cvetka Bevc was chosen by the Contemporary Arts organisation X-Op in Slovenia to partake in the literary residency in Ireland.
Réaltán Ní Leannáin is the first Irish language writer to be chosen by Foras na Gaeilge for the Other Words project. She has carried out her residency in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
Áine Ní Ghlinn is a lecturer, journalist and writer, who has written 22 books - 4 collections of poetry and 18 books for young readers.
Other Words is a partnership programme between cultural organisations throughout Europe which aims to establish a network of creative placements for European writers in smaller and minority languages.
