CCEA’s Pilot Scheme for teaching Irish in English-medium primary schools

Whether you want to teach Irish to the whole school or focus on a particular group or keystage, there is help and support available from CCEA for you today.

You can focus on basic Irish conversation or on a particular learning area in line with the Northern Ireland Curriculum, for example, teaching P.E. through Irish. CCEA training is available in your own school or in cluster groups with other local schools. You can use traditional and new resources which will enable you to implement your chosen programme. There are new and existing resources which are currently being used in Irish-medium schools which can be used in any context including downloadable content.

In addition to this, there are links to resources and other websites which you could use. Please see our website http://ccea.org.uk/curriculum/gaeloideachas/piasch to explore the opportunities!
